CANDIDATE TRAINING OFFICER
AAS C/1st Lt Brandon Montgomery
Candidate Training Officer
AAS C/1st Lt Brandon Montgomery is a junior hailing from Londonderry, New Hampshire. Currently majoring in mechanical engineering, he plans to commission in May of 2020 as a pilot.
Though originally from the north, Brandon decided to attend USC because of its highly-ranked AFROTC program compared to others across the nation. He joined AFROTC to serve the greatest nation on this planet, inherently through a commission in its greatest Air Force.
Pledging for AAS is just one of the many stepping stones in Brandon's journey to commission as an officer, and he has learned many valuable skills from being a trainee, much of which he intends to apply to this year's candidate training program. Currently as this year's CTO, he and the rest of the training staff are devising a revolutionized training program different from previous years. Through this program, he intends to more effectively implement the objectives and ideals of AAS to mold candidates into proactive, motivated, and confident members that'll actively contribute to the future of our Society.
Outside of AFROTC and AAS, Brandon is an avid lifter and loves working out in general, from which he finds his inspiration. He believes that if he can go from barely being able to bench the bar to repping 225 pounds through an inconsistent workout routine in a matter of one year, anything is possible.
